SRCC Certification Complete on all SunMaxx Evacuated Tube Solar Collectors
Silicon Solar Inc recently received notification that the SRCC (Solar Rating Certification Corporation) had completed testing and certification of all remaining models of SunMaxx evacuated tube solar collectors.

BAINBRIDGE, NY, December 19, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Silicon Solar Inc, manufacturer of SunMaxx solar collectors and solar hot water heating systems, recently received notification that the SRCC (Solar Rating Certification Corporation) had completed testing and certification of all remaining models of SunMaxx evacuated tube solar collectors. The SunMaxx-20 (20 tube) solar collector was tested and certified in 2007. Now, all models, the SunMaxx-10 (10 tubes), SunMaxx-25 (25 tubes) and SunMaxx-30 (30 tubes) have been tested by the SRCC, and are fully certified for use in the United States.

SRCC Certification has a number of significant benefits for SunMaxx solar collectors, solar hot water heating systems and SunMaxx customers. The first, and most important, benefit is that customer rest assured that their SunMaxx solar hot water heating system will operate as advertised because the efficiency and heat output of the SunMaxx solar collectors has been independently verified.

The second great benefit of SRCC Certification for SunMaxx solar collectors is they all SunMaxx solar hot water heating systems qualify for federal, state and local incentives. These incentives can help pay 50%, or more, of the initial cost of a SunMaxx solar hot water heating system.

Currently, the federal government has a 30% income tax credit for SunMaxx solar hot water heating systems. There is a $2,000 cap on residential solar hot water heating systems, and no cap on commercial systems. State and local incentives vary from place to place, but often include one, or more, of the following; state income tax credits, cash rebates, sales tax exemptions and property tax increase exemptions.
