Flexible Lifeline Systems Provide Innovative Fall Protection Systems For Above Ground Storage Tanks
Flexible Lifeline Systems, Inc. today announced the recent completion of the design and installation of passive fall protection systems on Shell's above ground storage tanks in Pasadena, TX.

HOUSTON, TX, August 20, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The project involved the design and installation of handrails on above ground storage tanks with no drilling or welding. This innovative fall prevention system will provide passive protection for workers performing maintenance tasks on top of the tanks. It also provides a fall protection anchor point for work outside the handrail system. The innovative design involving no hot work allowed the customer to avoid the costly expense of emptying the tanks and provided continuous operation during the installation.

"We continue to provide innovative and cost-effective solutions to our customers." said Andy Townend, President of Flexible Lifeline Systems. "Our mission is to provide our customers with a safe workplace for those employees working at height while at the same time having a positive effect on their productivity. A safe and confident worker is a productive worker."

"The products met OSHA and Shell requirements and the project management and lead installer were professional and efficient" said Kelly Green, Shell's project manager.
