Ms. Williams earned a Bachelor of Science in computer science and education in 1975 from Texas A&M University at Commerce. She is the former president of the Association of Desk and Derrick Clubs. In 2004, she received the United States Energy Woman of the Year Award from Nickels Energy of Canada.
