SINOPEC Research Institute of Petroleum Processing (RIPP) Chooses hte Technology to Enhance its Catalyst Research Capabilities
hte - the high throughput experimentation company - today announces the collaboration with RIPP, which is an affiliate of SINOPEC, China's largest producer and supplier of petroleum products.

HEIDELBERG, GERMANY, November 28, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- RIPP decides to implement hte parallel reactor technology to enhance its R&D efficiency in the field of oil refining.

hte - the high throughput experimentation company - today announces the collaboration with RIPP, which is an affiliate of SINOPEC, China's largest producer and supplier of petroleum products.

hte will provide SINOPEC RIPP with high throughput experimentation technology from its X2000-Series catalyst testing systems optimized for clean gasoline production. This parallel reactor system will be delivered to SINOPEC RIPP in Beijing, China at the end of this year.

"hte is extremely pleased that SINOPEC RIPP has decided to deploy hte technology at its R&D facilities in Beijing. We look forward to developing a positive and lasting relationship." said Dirk Demuth, CEO of hte.

The X2000-Series parallel reactor systems offer highly stable control of all key process parameters, which means that 16 catalysts can be tested simultaneously under the same or variable conditions over extended periods of time. Small scale testing reduces the amount of feed and catalyst required, whilst the quality of the data remains excellent and is comparable to pilot plant data. hte's X2000-Series test unit is perfectly tailored to its area of application and will be used under demanding conditions of the industrial process. The unit features a sophisticated analytical suite for real-time full product analysis.

hte's high throughput R&D technology will allow SINOPEC RIPP to reduce the time-to-market for new, innovative catalyst solutions. RIPP's decision to choose hte's technology was based on the excellent performance in a pre-validation study of hte's reactor systems. RIPP scientists expect their R&D efficiency to be enhanced and their catalyst IP to be secured by utilizing hte's robust and reliable high throughput reactor system technology.

About SINOPEC RIPP
SINOPEC Research Institute of Petroleum Processing (RIPP), founded in 1956, is a comprehensive research and development organization specialized in petroleum refining and petrochemical fields. It is mainly devoted to the development and application of petroleum refining technologies, while laying stress on petroleum refining-petrochemical integration and corresponding petrochemical technologies. In recent years, it has been reinforcing its innovation in new alternative fuels and energy sources. It is now in the process of transforming itself into an all-directional energy R&D organization mainly engaged in petroleum refining and petroleum refining-petrochemical integration fields.
