Attributing his success to the fact that he listens to people, understands processes, and delivers what he promises, Mr. Ipsen utilizes his expertise in managing relationships as the president of Taystar Inc., a company providing contracts and project management services to utility companies and strategic suppliers. In his principal role at the Ontario-based company, he manages project work for power generation and transmission clients and suppliers, and ensures that project deliverables meet schedule, quality and cost requirements. He also delivers business improvement, as well as contract and quality management services.

Mr. Ipsen became involved in his profession while completing coursework in construction engineering, quality management business process management and procurement. He studied construction engineering at Conestoga College in Ontario and participated in a nondegree program at the Canadian Institute of Management. In addition, Mr. Ipsen leverages coursework in administrative studies from The Schulich School of Business, York University. He has also earned non-destructive examination accreditation from the Canadian Government, has held Certified Quality Auditor qualification, and is a member of both the Project Management Institute and IACCM.
